Using Naro
Terms of use
Naro is an independent macOS app developed by Sergei Sakharovskii. The app is currently in development; a public installer is not available.
What Naro does
Naro opens supported Office files in Google’s browser-based editors and synchronizes saved changes back to your Mac. You need a compatible Mac, an internet connection, and a Google account with permission to use the relevant services. Your organization may restrict access to third-party apps.
Your files and accounts
Only connect accounts and open files you are authorized to use. You retain ownership of your documents. Using Naro does not give the developer ownership of your content. The app’s data handling is described in the privacy policy.
Development status and limitations
Development builds may contain defects or change behavior. Keep independent backups of important documents. Synchronization requires Naro to remain running and depends on Google saving the file and on network availability. Office compatibility depends on Google’s editors; complex document features may change or be unsupported.
Closing Naro stops synchronization until it runs again. Deleting a local file does not automatically delete the Google Drive copy, and deleting the Drive copy does not delete your local document. Automatic app updates are not yet implemented.

Google services and GitHub are provided under their own terms and privacy policies. Naro is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google, Microsoft, or Apple. Their names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Project materials
This public repository contains the information website and documentation. It does not include the macOS application source or grant a license to redistribute the app. No open-source license is granted for the application by publishing this site.
